Gladstone schools brace for tough spending cuts 
GLADSTONE The Gladstone School Board Monday night voted to reduce staff. Although the move is preliminary, interim Superintendent Tom Watson said the district is looking to cut approximately $150,000 in support staff and about $400,000 in teaching staff.

Officer wounds teen carjack suspects 
Two carjacking suspects were shot and wounded Tuesday when one drove a stolen car toward a Fort Bend County sheriff's sergeant who opened fire, police said. The incident happened about 2 a.m. on Berdett at FM 762 near Rosenberg, said Fort Bend County sheriff's spokeswoman Terriann Carlson.

Juvenile offenders earning redemption through community service 
CLARION Juveniles in the Clarion County probation system include individuals who are trying to pay their debt to society. One of the ways in which they give back to society is through community service.

Fort Bend deputy shoots 2 teens after chase 
A Fort Bend County deputy shot two teens suspected of stealing a car and evading arrest early today, officials said.
