Metro Police Chief Ronal Serpas' criticism of the Department of Children's Services for failing to keep track of its violent youth offenders sparked an online debate Friday among Tennessean readers.

Chief Serpas has been asked to keep track of the convicted felons who are living in public housing and to have them evicted. Federal money is not allowed to be used to house felons but Serpas has refused to hold MDHA accountable. These are drug dealers who are teaching the children about the drugs and guns on the streets.
Has he removed the drug dealers from the streets to help deter the children? No! MDHA has refused to listen to the neighborhoods and is also at fault for the crime in Nashville.

Lord is that true. My neighborhood has turned into a giant project because of MDHA. Our homes are filling up with bullet holes and starting to look like swiss cheese. People getting shot, homes broken in for money for the dope and the police think we should move rather than them locking the criminals up.
The laws in every state clearly state that you can not live in public housing if you have a felony arrest but in Nashville they believe they are above the law.
They need to bring forces in from the outside to clean this mess up as it is obvious that politics is more important than the crime. Nothing like sleeping with the enemy (MDHA) Chief.
Most of the media knows about the corruption regarding MDHA and MNPD but because of politcs won't report on it. Guess they are as guilty as the rest until it's one of their own shot, killed or robbed at gun point.
People in Nashville are shell shocked with the amount of dope slinging, gun toting criminals.
We need the FEDS in Nashville unless they are sleeping with the enemy also.
